Gedare Bloom, Ph.D.
Gedare Bloom is an Associate Professor of Computer Science at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs. Previously he was an Assistant Professor of Computer Science at Howard University from 2015-2019. He received the Ph.D. degree in computer science from The George Washington University in 2013, the MS degree also from GWU in 2012, and the BS degree with a dual-major in computer science and mathematics from Michigan Technological University. He has managed over $4M of US federal funding as a principal investigator with funding from the Department of Defense, National Science Foundation, National Security Agency, and Department of Homeland Security.
Dr. Bloom's expertise is computer system security with particular focus on real-time embedded systems in critical infrastructure.
